Jessica joined the Blue Zones Food and Nutrition Team in July 2020, bringing diverse experience in product development and strategy with plant-based brands and retail grocers. Prior to her role with Blue Zones, Jess spent four years at Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX. There she established a deep and diverse foundation in retail grocery, gathering experience in pricing analytics, competitive positioning, consumer insights, and strategy development. Jess also has experience consulting on a variety of plant-based initiatives, working with a variety of companies to incorporate healthy food into retail grocery, e-commerce, and community systems.
Before her work in the retail grocery industry, Jess served as a financial controller and internal auditor for ExxonMobil, gaining expertise in a variety of business functions. While working in the Oil and Gas industry, Jess satisfied her passion for food, health, and wellness by moonlighting at her local Whole Foods Market after business hours.
