Deep experience in leading large teams and building cultures of well-being and engagement.

Mark leads the day-to-day operations of multiple Blue Zones Projects across the nation. He began working with Blue Zones in 2021, launching seven Blue Zones Projects in 12 months within one healthcare system–the largest single deployment of Blue Zones Projects to date. Mark oversees the hiring, training, and ongoing support of the local Blue Zones Project site teams, from the Foundation and Planning phases, to the Transformation phase, and all the way through certification and expansion.

Prior to joining Blue Zones, Mark served as the System Administrative Director for Community Well-Being at Adventist Health, supporting Community Well-Being Directors across 25 hospitals and leading a systemwide deployment of a pioneering community well-being strategy.

Mark also served as an Executive Director at the world-renowned Loma Linda University, living and working in one of the original five blue zone communities of Loma Linda, California.
