Scott brings a track record of transforming iconic brands and businesses to drive growth and increase profit. He has a strong background in creating, commercializing and launching consumer products that redefine and capture key markets.
As the President and CEO of Polaroid from 2009 – 2018, Scott was responsible for leading all aspects of Polaroid’s transformation into a world-class brand licensing and marketing company and lead the tremendous resurgence of the Polaroid brand.
Prior to Polaroid, Scott led the Americas region for Polaroid with full P&L accountability and leadership of sales, marketing, operations, product management, procurement, and customer service. Before that role, he led the Product Marketing, Product Engineering, and New Technology teams driving product development strategies and launch initiatives to support Polaroid’s market share growth and delivering today’s most relevant technologies.
Prior to joining Polaroid in 2004, he held various leadership positions in product marketing at Dell Inc.; most recently leading the multi-billion dollar Displays business, which included LCD monitors and DLP projectors.
In addition, Scott worked at Intel serving as a product manager in the systems management division overseeing Intel’s Remote Server Management products; he also worked in Intel’s Architecture Labs where he conceived and evangelized initiatives to expand computing within the home including such concepts as tablet computing. Scott began his career as a regional sales manager for Vantage Controls, Inc. where he was responsible for sales in the Southeastern territory region.
He holds an MBA from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mandarin Chinese from BYU.
