Sophia is a multimedia journalist and marketing professional who specializes in content related to food systems and environmental change. Prior to joining Blue Zones, she worked in the media department at Mad Agriculture, an innovative non-profit that supports farmers transitioning to regenerative agriculture. Throughout her media career, Sophia has worked across marketing, communications, PR, and content strategy, as well as garnered experience in publication as an editor for the Mad Agriculture Journal and a writer for Lonely Planet.
Sophia holds a Masters of the Environment in Sustainable Food Systems from University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor’s of Science in Anthropology and Geography from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She is purpose and values-driven and passionate about working at the intersection of well-being, people, food systems, the environment, and culture.
