Doctor’s Notes: Salut! A drink a day can be beneficial to one’s health

One study from the School of Public Health at Harvard found that “moderate alcohol consumption has been linked with beneficial changes ranging from better sensitivity to insulin to improvements in factors that influence blood clotting that prevent the formation of small blood clots that can block arteries in the heart, neck and brain, the ultimate cause of many heart attacks and the most common kind of stroke.” It can also reduce the risk of dementia and gallstones.

Evidence seems to support that a drink or two per day may improve overall health and increase longevity. Cheers!
