This dairy-free, healthy-ish chocolate fondue is an easy dessert or celebratory treat that you can make in less than 10 minutes. It’s interactive, easy to customize to different tastes, and can also be prepped in advance. This dairy-free recipe is so creamy and rich that a little goes a long way—so double down on the dippers when you’re making it.

Ingredients

½ can (7 ounces) coconut cream

½ cup cashew milk (or other non-dairy milk like soy or coconut)

12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (dairy-free or vegan)

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 pinch high-quality fine sea salt

Fruit for dipping, like strawberries, bananas, grapes, pineapple, etc. (You can also use breadsticks, pretzels, or cubed sourdough toast as dippers.)

Directions

  1. In a sauce pot or fondue pot, heat milk and coconut cream over medium heat until hot.
  2. Add chocolate chips and immediately lower heat.
  3. Stir frequently until chocolate is melted.
  4. Add vanilla and salt.
  5. Transfer to fondue pot (if using).
  6. Serve chocolate fondue warm with dippers.
