Ingredients

1 heaping teaspoon dried sage

2 heaping teaspoons dried mint

1 heaping teaspoon chamomile

½ cup fresh lemon verbena leaves or 1 tablespoon dried honey, if desired

4 firm, ripe peaches, peeled or unpeeled, as desired, pitted, and sliced into wedges

1 cup ice, plus more, for serving

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus more if desired

Fresh peach slices, for serving

Fresh mint, for serving

Directions

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, remove from the heat, and add the loose herbs. Allow the tea to steep for 10 minutes. If you want to sweeten it, add the honey while the tea is warm so that it dissolves better. Let the tea cool to room temperature.

Place the peaches and ice in a large pitcher. Pour in the cooled tea and lemon juice and swirl around to combine. Chill for at least 2 hours, and serve directly from the fridge over ice, with additional peach slices and fresh mint for garnish, if desired.
